Casino game odds explained
Game odds describe likelihoods and long-run mathematical expectations. They are not a promise about an individual session or a way to guarantee a win.
Probability
Probability measures how likely an outcome is under stated rules. A low-probability event can happen immediately, while a more likely event may not happen for many rounds. Random variation is normal.
House edge and RTP
The house edge is a long-run mathematical advantage held by the operator under a game’s rules. RTP is the corresponding theoretical long-run return to players. Neither number predicts what one person will receive in a day, week or month.
Avoid the gambler’s fallacy
A run of losses does not make a win due. Increasing bets after losses increases exposure and can cause harm quickly. Treat any money spent on gambling as money that may not be returned.
